TOP 10 TRAVEL BUCKET LIST?
Do you have a travel bucket list?
“What is on your travel bucket list, Barbara?” Zareena asked me in general conversation at a holiday party recently. WHAT A GREAT QUESTION! I really had not thought about it before in those terms. Immediately, I knew my top two or three, but…this topic warranted deeper thinking! So, I started a list!

We all have had opportunities to be intrigued by travel destinations over the years, right! What makes a travel destination bucket list worthy? Distance traveled? Climate? Difficulty to reach? Culture? Cuisine? As I learn of interesting places or places that spark my interest, I keep a list handy and am not afraid to add to this evolving list.
I expect this list to continue to grow and change over time as I add and subtract from it. Start your own and plan your next adventure soon!
Sometimes we make the process more complicated than we need to. We will never make a journey of a thousand miles by fretting about how long it will take or how hard it will be. We make the journey by taking each day step by step and then repeating it again and again until we reach our destination.
~Joseph B. Wirthlin
Below you can find my current travel bucket list in no specific order. Some places were added because of an intriguing conversation. Some where added because of a photo I saw. Others made the cut because of a specific geographical phenomenon that I want to see there. Additionally, some listed because I grew so excited and curious about a place and became adamant to explore.
The beauty of a travel bucket list is that it is personal and specific to you. Therefore, no wrong answer exists. Have fun with this and create your own list, but do me a favor and list one favorite in a reply back to me! Who knows, maybe it will make my list too!

These are a fantastic choice for a top 10! Speaking from experience, I can say that #1 and #2 are great choices! I would love to visit there again. I visited long before digital cameras were a thing– LOL. Now you’ve definitely inspired me to compile a bucket list! Thanks for sharing! ❤️

I wish I had paid attention to travel before I had kids. Now these kids have taken over my life. I hope to make a travel bucket list soon, and get to see the world with my family

A lot of your list applies to me as well – I love anyplace beachy.
But my top bucket list item for travel is to go to Antarctica. Like you, I’m drawn to geographic oddities – the southernmost tip of Africa, the equator, the confluence of 2 oceans – stuff like that. So, getting to Antarctica would mean 7 continents visited – my overarching goal. I’d say it’s the most difficult of the 7 continents to reach, so sooner rather than later!

I really enjoy reading about your travels. You inspire! GO TO ANTARCTICA!!!! 🙂
