EMBRACE THE CHANGE OF WEATHER
Change can be hard for many. This past late winter my uncle passed. He’d been lingering for a long time. Due to COVID visitors were not allowed. The depressing nature of the situation was overwhelming! Many family members struggled with this very difficult situation. Spring popping around us has been very healing.
God has a plan always playing out around us daily. Allow the process to wash over you if you are experiencing a difficult situation. Spring truly is a lovely reminder of how beautiful change can truly be for all of us. We know that my uncle is rejoicing with his heavenly father and no longer lingering trapped in a declining body. Spring is a gentle reminder of re-birth and renewal, if we choose to look at it from that perspective.
“Nature does not hurry, yet everything is accomplished.”
– Lao Tzu

RANDOM DRIVES CAN PROVIDE BONUS FINDS
Hop in your car and drive. Have a general idea of a direction or destination in mind, but keep your eyes peeled to your environment as you go. Try to take roads you have never taken before, you know…the road less traveled… It is amazing to explore and witness the beauty all around us that we are so blind to see because we do not look!
LIFE IS SHORT…look around you! Witness God’s creation in a new way with fresh eyes! Spring flowers are bursting forth randomly in nature. Observe and tuck it away in that special place in your soul to retrieve when needed in darker days.
“That is one good thing about this world … There are always sure to be more springs.”

RANDOM SURPRISES BRIGHTEN OTHERS DAYS
Recently, we were away traveling. When we returned home this is what we found in our front perennial bed of blooming spring flowers. This stone tile for my garden made my day! It really touched my heart! I LOVE IT!
Small gestures to others make big impressions. Do not hesitate to bless those around you with gentle reminders of Faith, Hope, and Love. Do you know someone away traveling? Leave them a blessing to find upon their return.

REMINDERS OF LOVED ONE’S PASSED
My God-Mother passed a few days prior to our wedding almost twenty-five years ago. She grew violets in her garden. My mother transplanted some of those violets to her own flower beds at her house after her sister died. My mother shared some of her sister’s violets with me at my house after I settled into marriage. They are so special to me. Each spring when they sprout and return in abundance, I think of my God-Mother wistfully and with great joy to welcome her violets back as one of the most treasured parts of my flower beds!
Never hesitate to plant a remembrance of a loved one! It bring such comfort and great joy. As my boys have grown, it has also provided me with a springboard for great conversations about my God-Mother and what an amazing woman she was to everyone around her. She had a great giggle and loved to sit and drink tea and listen to us share all about ourselves to her. I miss her greatly! The violets are a treasure!
“I must have flowers, always and always.“

HOLLAND, MICHIGAN TULIP FESTIVAL & WINDMILL ISLAND GARDENS
Tulips like you have never seen (reminiscent of the Netherland’s many fields of tulips) proudly adorn Holland, MI each year. It is such a beautiful display. I encourage you to hop in your vehicle and travel to this location in mid Michigan on the Lake Michigan side to enjoy this phenomenon! Incomparable!
Also while you are there, I encourage you to visit WINDMILL ISLAND GARDENS. We were fortunate enough to discover this beautiful place during my nephews wedding and reception in 2015. What an amazing venue it was for that celebration! Spring blooms are everywhere you look immaculately tended!

I love spring in northern Michigan and eagerly keep an eye out for spring flowers this time of year. Amazingly enough, I’ve made the 2 hour drive to Holland on many occasions, but never during tulip time. I’m thinking this might have to be the year!
Barbara Robinson
Me too!
Megan

Wow, so gorgeous! I happen to be in eastern PA this week, and have hiked through the many free public gardens and arboreta around the Valley Forge area – such amazing azaleas, rhodies, trillium, tulips, fruit trees, magnolias, etc., etc., etc. – makes my heart sing!
Barbara Robinson
Oh! That sounds so beautiful! I absolutely love magnolia trees!
elaina

Barbara Robinson
Yes! I agree! It makes the soul soar!

My husband has been planting flowers and bushes for the last 3 weeks. We have traveled through the neighborhood visiting anyone and everyone selling plants. I love keeping flowers and/or plants from our loved ones that have passed. I have a plant given to me when my father died and one when my brother died. They are beautiful reminders of them. Thanks for sharing.
Barbara Robinson
Special plants in the garden make all the difference!

Those are Beautiful Spring blooms for sure!

I think so! Thanks!

I love the idea of going somewhere to explore spring blooms! I really enjoy hyacinth but cannot have it in my house because it is toxic for kitties. The only time I can see them is when I am outside exploring. This post is going to inspire me to go out to a few places this weekend and look for some. Thank you!
Barbara Robinson
That is a great idea! ENJOY!!

I’ve enjoyed the spring weather here in Wisconsin. However, looking out the window this afternoon I saw it is snowing. Yet its April so it’s not uncommon.
Barbara Robinson
Yes, it was spitting snow here today…yuck!

Although tulips are my fave, I do enjoy all the flowers that spring has to offer. Much as I hate the cold of winter, I look forward to the change of seasons esprecially for the flowers. They always remind me of my grandmother!

I also love all flowers…bright colors draw me in!

The first spring after I bought my house, I was pleasantly surprised by this random little cluster of daffodils that sprouted in the back corner of my yard. Love those little spring finds!
