Cabo San Lucas, Mexico has crystal-clear deep blue water perfect for scuba diving, snorkeling, kayaking, and paddle boarding. Cabo San Lucas is known for the granite rock formations at Land’s End which form a protective barrier for the bay, as well as signifying the point where the Sea of Cortés and Pacific Ocean meet.
Cabo boasts some of the most abundant marine life in the world, making it the perfect place to discover the world below the waterline. Additionally, whale watching is probably the number one event for which Cabo is known. Cabo has the unique privilege of being the perfect spot for whales to have their calves.

SAN JOSE del CABO LIGTHOUSE (FARO EL ENCANTO)
This is an active lighthouse. It’s focal plane measures 40 m (131 ft). It provides three white flashes every 12 seconds. The exterior has a 10 m (33 ft) round cylindrical white concrete tower with a gallery painted in red and white horizontal bands. It’s name means “whale head,” probably referring to the appearance of the headland from the sea. It is located on a promontory about 8 km (5 mi) east of the Cabo San Lucas beachfront.

SIP & SAIL BRUNCH CRUISE ANYONE?
“In attempting to have it all, never forget that if we don’t have love, joy, peace, tranquility and an ability to be truly present in our lives that we don’t have it all anyway. We really don’t have anything.”
~Carolyn Anderson
We boarded this beautiful sailing vessel for a sip & sail brunch & tour. The crew was very gracious and kind to share this adventures with it’s guests. We toured the world famous Arch, whale watched, snorkeled, and sailed along the coast line several miles Northwest of Cabo San Lucas. Our experience was wonderful. The food was exceptional. The hospitality was marvelous.
Sail on Tu Enamorado – a beautiful wooden, handmade crafted yacht of unsurpassed quality, comfort, and performance. You will live the yachting lifestyle, walk barefoot on the deck, and feel the sun and breeze on your face. Each will enjoy an unbeatable scenic view of the sea of Cortez and the magnificent rock formations at Land’s End. If luck is on your side, the captain who is always looking for sea-life while sailing the beautiful coastline of Cabo San Lucas, will direct you to enjoy watching magnificent examples of ocean life!
We were welcomed with a signature cocktail and a brunch platter with mini quiche and a variety of mini sandwiches, pastries, and fresh and dry fruit. All enjoyed drinks at the open bar serving mimosas, bloody marys, bellinis, margaritas, cold beers, fresh juices and coffee.
Tu Enamorado dropped the anchor, near Cabo del Sol. Any that wanted could snorkel the peaceful waters of the bay, or just chill on the cushioned deck and enjoy the views of Land’s End with a cocktail in your hands.
The beaches, sunshine, and ocean provide the backdrop for many other adventures! Do you have a personal BUCKET LIST for travel dreams? You too can DAYDREAM YOUR NEXT TRAVEL ADVENTURE! We did on our last visit in Cabo San Lucas! We enjoyed exploration!

HISTORY OF CABO SAN LUCAS
Cabo San Lucas has a rich history.
Long before people arrived on the shores of Cabo San Lucas, granite rock formed what is now known as Land’s End 30 million years ago. The rich human history of Cabo San Lucas began around 13,000 BCE. At that time, this region was inhabited by the Pericú people. Unfortunately, the Pericúes people have been extinct for more than 250 years.
These hunters and gatherers enjoyed the lush landscape of Cabo San Lucas for thousands of years. Slightly more than 100 years later, the Spanish arrived aboard a ship captained by Hernán Cortés and, soon after, the first permanent settlement was erected in the Baja Peninsula. The Spanish were not the only people to arrive in Cabo San Lucas, as La Paz was a stop along one of the most robust trade routes in the world.
The Baja Peninsula was established in 1697 after decades of distressing acts via English and Dutch pirates. Conflict arose between the United States and Mexico in the 1840s. The Americans conceded the beautiful Baja Peninsula to Mexico, reestablishing the peacefulness and prosperity of this seaside area. Over time, Cabo San Lucas has become a renowned fishing location and tourist destination.
Today’s Cabo San Lucas is a thriving resort town filled with ample adventures for tourists.

WHAT IS THE CLIMATE?
The temperature in this location is approximately 24.3 °C | 75.7 °F. It was beautiful. We visited in January. It was such an enjoyable relief from the frigid Northern cold we experience in Michigan.
While Cabo is considered to be humid 4-5 months per year, only 1-2 months have significant effects. Early September is typically the most humid time of the year. Due to humidity and the heating of the ocean, September is when we have our rainy/hurricane season.
June is the best month to visit Cabo San Lucas while the temperatures continue to rise before the humidity arrives later in the summer. The best month to go to Cabo varies depending on if you want the best weather (May-June), the most adventures (January-March), or the best prices and fewest crowds (August-September). Cabo averages over 350 days a year of sunshine.
Cabo rainy season is between July and October, September being the peak season. Average temperatures are 93° / 77°. May is the driest month with average temperatures 86° / 69°. Hmmm…pretty tough to take!

Thanks for a really indepth post on visiting Cabos, I have wanted to visit Mexico for so long but I always seem to find an excuse not to in the last minute, mostly due to the negative press reports.
After reading your post, I’m getting ready to book a visit to Mexico this year.

We were also cautiously optimistic. We didn’t venture inland, but enjoyed the beaches and beach town immensely. I will be returning!
