5 WAYS TO CELEBRATE INDEPENDENCE DAY
Festivals are planned and resuming and parades are scheduled. Fireworks displays are happening! What are your plans? Our country’s freedoms are exceptional here in the USA! Take a minute this holiday and give thanks to our Lord and Savior for the family that you were born into, for the amazing country you live in, and for the life you are so blessed to be living! We ALL need to take a minute an realize these truths!
Yes, our country will always have issues that need to be worked out, but overall there is no better place on this earth to live our best life. If you think the grass is greener elsewhere, I encourage you to leave our exceptional land of freedoms and live there to find out. Report back! I’d find it very interesting to hear what you discovered! Otherwise…just rest assured in the blessings you have before you and be encouraged daily in God’s word!

STAYCATION
If travel is not in the plan this year then enjoy your backyard or the local lake to cool down!
This 4th of July is an excellent opportunity to bond with family! Find a quiet place to rock a baby, or have a soda on the dock with your Dad to discuss the meaning of life! Enjoy the slow down of life and relax! Get together near home with your small group and recharge your life batteries!
Find activities near home to engage your small group and remember to celebrate our freedoms provided to us through the sacrifices of so many others that have gone before us or are currently serving us actively in the military. Do not take your freedoms for granted!

Get together with family! The 4th of July is a great excuse to re-connect with loved ones that we don’t get to spend a lot of time with daily. ENJOY a great family picnic! Try to find shade and stay outside in the cool breeze, if possible! Have a potluck! Take every opportunity to celebrate your family and togetherness!
Time is fleeting! Don’t isolate yourself away from social support and remember to reconnect with loved ones every chance you get! If family is not an option for you, don’t hesitate to take a plate of cookies to a neighbor and wish them a happy 4th of July! We all need each other and a sense of community! Share time with each other and re-connect!
LAKE FUN
If you have a local body of water, go play! Watersports are a refreshing way to cool off from the heat of summer and it provides entertainment galore for a family! Waterskiing, tubing, knee-boarding, wake surfing or just going for a boat ride are great ways to spend time together as a family.
FIREWORKS
Our family tradition is to shoot fireworks off from a barge (old pontoon boat) tethered out in front of the dock on an area inland lake. Others on the lake like to float out in their boats to watch the firework display! The men have a great time planning the firework show, organizing the wicks, etc. They are very careful and it is all computer driven to keep everyone away from the explosions as they are triggered. It is their highlight of the 4th and how we celebrate.
I love sparklers! I grew up enjoying them and watching my father set off fireworks. How does your family celebrate Independence day? Will you be enjoying some fireworks from your home?
PICNIC
We love a picnic outdoors! Family is the core to our existence! Enjoy your time with those that mean the most to you! Whether a sandwich by the pool while traveling, in the backyard enjoying a BBQ, or at an organized function with loved ones! ENJOY the moments that we are given to share in each other’s lives!
Embrace each moment that presents itself to you to truly enjoy this 4th of July! Celebrate Independence Day! Remember what you are celebrating!

I can’t help admiring that amazing patio by the lake. Wow! So glad you had fun 😊. I had my kids over for the 4th but we all wore masks and stayed well over 6 ft apart. There is no room for error with a compromised immune system. Hoping next year it’s a little more relaxed!

This looks like a perfect way to spend the 4th of July. We usually participate in our cities festivities but they didn’t happen this year so we made the best of our situation, got out of the house spent some time together and made our traditional American Flag Cake.

We didn’t have any plans this year, but the day before my husband reached out to his friends to see if anyone was doing anything and we ended up going to his friends house to swim and have dinner. It was nice to get out and do something. We both used to work for Disney, so I think this was the first 4th of July we haven’t worked in years.

This is Walloon Lake in Northern Lower Peninsula Michigan. It is a secret SH! We selfishly like to keep it to ourselves as it is so pristine!

We spent our 4th on a lake, as well – it’s the definitely the best place to be! Sparklers are a big hit with us, too; the kiddos love them and I try and snag a few from them, as well. Happy 4th!

Great ideas! Our town still did a fireworks display but had a variety of places to watch it from. We were able to park downtown and watch from inside our Jeep (no top). The perfect way to enjoy the show without coming into contact with anyone else.

These are fun ways to celebrate! We were very boring this year. We simply stayed home and stayed in, although we did enjoy the neighborhood fireworks for a bit that evening. Honestly, after a very busy week, it was wonderful to have some down time on the 4th!

I always love how 4th of July is celebrated in the US in a very happy way, while in Poland May 3rd or November 11th are usually not that fine, especiall November 11th – probably the most traumatic family meetings ever.

We’re celebrating Independence Day in a few different ways over the next few days… family time, a day excursion, and a staycation. The weather might not allow much much outdoor time here. Storms are in the forecast, unfortunately!

We’re kind of keeping things low-key this year since my husband had to work all weekend and the holiday. We may go to the city fireworks on the 4th, but my husband has to be up the next morning for work on Tuesday, too. Then he’ll have a break, so maybe we’ll just do something fun when he is off. He’ll have a small stretch after the holiday. Such is life in the medical field!
