My Mom is this being! She has taught me so many lessons that I have tried to impart to my children. My Mom is one of those Moms that no matter how much I apply myself to be more like, I know I will never achieve her level of amazingness! She is so special and an example of selflessness and service to her family. I am in awe of her daily!

With all of this said, she has the hardest time receiving because she is so over the top at giving of herself. This flaw in her character (not really a flaw just her stubbornness showing) inspires me to try to figure out how to show her how much I appreciate her every MOTHER’S DAY!

Materialistic gestures are not necessary, we all know that; however, I love doing great things for her! Need an idea for Mother’s Day….READ ON! What are your families traditions for celebrating Mother’s Day? Do you travel? What does your celebration weekend look like? Traveling to your Mom’s favorite destination location to celebrate may not be an option, so celebrate at home or locally. You can decide if it will be low key or big. BUT, if you do intend to travel or are planning to send Mom on a trip to celebrate her…HERE are some ideas to help!

Whatever your Mother’s Day may looks like this year, take a minute and be thankful for the women (usually many MOTHER ROLE MODELS EXIST to each of us) in your life. Perhaps the day is one you dread for whatever reason, I get that if you’ve lost someone you loved deeply, but please take a moment to recognize that you were blessed to have experienced this special nurturing love. Those feelings of disliking Mother’s Day mean that you feel; you are human and Mother’s Day triggers emotions strongly as that fine line between motherly love and big loss can be fuzzy. It is better to have experienced nurturing love than to never have felt that kind of unconditional warmth and acceptance. God has a plan for you. Trust in His love.
